    Benefits of Greek Yogurt

Greek yogurt is a great choice for baby led weaning due to its numerous benefits. Packed with essential nutrients like calcium, protein, and vitamin D, Greek yogurt supports healthy bone development and aids in the growth of strong muscles.

Its creamy texture makes it easy for little hands to grab and promotes self-feeding skills.

Greek yogurt is also a fantastic source of probiotics, which help maintain a healthy gut, improve digestion, and boost the immune system.

Its versatility allows for endless flavour combinations by mixing in fruits or vegetables, introducing babies to exciting tastes and textures.

With all these advantages, Greek yogurt is a perfect addition to a baby's diet during the weaning process. The main ingredients to many great baby led weaning recipes.

    Frozen Greek Yogurt Bites

Frozen Greek yogurt is an excellent choice for parents trying out baby-led weaning. Packed with nutritional benefits, this frozen treat provides a perfect balance of taste and health, making it a delightful option for little ones.

Greek yogurt is high in protein, which helps building strong muscles and supporting overall growth. It also contains essential vitamins and minerals, like calcium and vitamin D, promoting healthy bone development and boosting the immune system.

Frozen Greek yogurt provides a soothing effect on teething gums, providing relief to infants during this uncomfortable phase. Its creamy texture and mild taste make it an ideal snack for babies to practice self-feeding, enhancing their independence.

The frozen aspect adds a refreshing touch, making it perfect for a cooling sensation during hot summer days. All in all, frozen Greek yogurt is a nutritious and delicious addition to the baby-led weaning journey, delighting taste buds while supporting healthy growth and development.

    Blackberry Fruit Benefits

Blackberries are a wonderful addition to the world of baby-led weaning. Packed with essential nutrients like fibre, vitamins C and K, and antioxidants, blackberries offer a range of benefits for little ones.

Their soft texture and small size make them perfect for baby's tiny hands to grasp and explore. The natural sweetness of blackberries can introduce babies to new flavours while satisfying their taste buds.

These berries are known for their gut health benefits, aiding digestion and promoting a healthy immune system.

Incorporating blackberries into a baby's diet during the weaning process encourages a love for wholesome foods and nurtures their developing palate.

    Ingredient information

Greek yogurt - I have used a plain full fat Greek yogurt as this is the best yogurt to introduce to your baby as it is the lowest in sugar to other flavoured fruit yogurts. Great for halloween recipes for babies.

Blackberry - I have used the blackberry seeds to create the eyes of the ghosts. They can be used in many delicious recipes for babies.

    Storage instructions

Once you have your ghosts detached from the baking sheet, the best way to store are in airtight containers or even freezer bags would work if you are careful and lay them flat.

You can keep them in the freezer for up to 3 months stored in this way!

If the ghosts defrost you will not be able to refreeze the ghosts. You will be able to scoop into a pot and eat as yogurt on the day.

Great to make with the kids ahead of Halloween for parties or just for fun!

Equipment used to help with this recipe

Baking tray - I have chosen to use a non-stick and BPA free baking sheet - they are easy to clean and, if you buy more than one, easily stackable and easily stored.

Airtight containers - I much prefer the click-shut lids on these containers compared to others. They are also dishwasher and freezer safe and BPA free, so very suitable for food use.
