Health Benefits of Cottage Cheese
Cottage cheese offers numerous health benefits for babies, making it an excellent addition to their diet. Rich in protein, it supports growth and development, helping to build and repair tissues.
The low-fat content provides essential nutrients without excessive calories, while its calcium content is vital for developing strong bones and teeth.
Cottage cheese contains probiotics that can aid digestion and promote a healthy gut. Its soft texture makes it easy for babies to chew and swallow, allowing for a smooth transition to solid foods.

Ingredient information
Cottage cheese - I have used a full fat cream cheese for the recipe. Full fat is great to use for baby until around 2 years old. Fats are needed to grow and develop.
Feel free to experiment and flavour the wraps, you can use seasonings such as black pepper of course and garlic powder, Italian seasoning or onion powder. A great way to add more flavour if you prefer.
Egg - I have used a medium egg, you can use a large egg too it is up to you, the recipe will still work if you use a large egg.
Serving suggestion
The cottage cheese wrap recipe would be great served with mashed avocado spread over the wrap with some chopped cooked chicken. You can serve the wrap with mashed boiled egg and Greek yogurt, a tuna salad or simply spread with smooth peanut butter and mashed strawberries.
Other recipes you may like: PB&J wrap, Black bean tacos or Broccoli pizza.
Also, other cottage cheese recipes you may like: Cottage cheese flatbread wrap, Sweet cheese pudding or Cottage cheese sheet pancake.
Storage instructions
If you do not want to cook the wrap all at once, you can freeze the batter. You can store this way for up to 3 months in the freezer.
The best way to do this is to store in an airtight container.
This way you can pop it out of the freezer when you need to cook the wrap. You can cook the wrap once defrosted. You can defrost thoroughly and then cook as per cooking instructions.
Once cooked from frozen the wrap can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
You will not be able to refreeze this delicious meal once defrosted.
Equipment used to help with this recipe
Baking sheet - I have chosen to use a non-stick and BPA free baking sheet - they are easy to clean and, if you buy more than one, easily stackable and easily stored.
Airtight container - I much prefer the click-shut lids on these containers compared to others. They are also dishwasher and freezer safe and BPA free, so very suitable for food use.
Nutri bullet - I have found a blender to be an invaluable tool in the preparation of many of my baby led weaning recipes.

Fillings such as egg, chicken, avocado, peanut butter, grated cheese, cream cheese and grated carrot are all great options.
These are gluten-free wraps, so they can be enjoyed by those with gluten-free diets.
