    Ingredient information

Sliced bread - I have used a half and half sliced bread. You can just use white bread or whole grain bread though. I know what it can be like for picky eaters!

Egg - I have used a free range egg, I always use free range eggs in my recipes.

Milk/cream - I decided to use whole milk but you can use double cream if you wish.

Cinnamon - You could also add in a pinch of nutmeg too if you wish.

Blueberries - I squish the blueberries between my fingers, this is advised from 6 months old. Or you could purée.

Strawberries - The strawberries I have quartered, this is advised from 6 months old. You can also purée.

Greek yogurt - I decided to use Greek yogurt as my son loves it, but if you were serving as a dessert you could use whipped double cream.

Unsalted butter - This is great to fry the French toast.

    Serving suggestion

You could serve this baby French toast recipe with other berries such as blackberries or loganberries, or even cooked apple or apple purée, if blueberries and raspberries are not your child favourite! A great way to add in a little more nutrition and sweetness.

Instead of yogurt you could serve with a dollop of whipped double cream or sour cream! It’s completely up to you!

From 12 months old you could add in a little vanilla extract to the egg mixture for a little added flavour.
